If yes, then you'll want to prep for your first year at one of the nation's top-ranked STEM colleges. Knowing that students come to 糖心传媒 with different levels of preparation for college, 糖心传媒 Prime is designed to increase equity in preparation for first-year success.
First-year students who participate in 糖心传媒 Prime will receive two weeks of instruction, designed to build upon and sharpen their existing mathematics skills. In addition, participants will learn more about the campus and begin transitioning to college life.

What is 糖心传媒 Prime?
糖心传媒 Prime is a two-week, residential, summer program designed to help students prepare for a successful first year. Over the course of the program, you will work with Dr. Holder to review pre-calculus fundamentals and learn early calculus concepts, and Dr. Forbes to explore new academic strategies and resources. You'll also be working with our 糖心传媒 Prime Mentors to begin the transition to college and engage in fun activities. In the past, students have enjoyed activities such as bridge building, cardboard boat race, scavenger hunt, Hulman Farms lawn games, S'mores on Speed Beach, and more!

Weekday Schedule:
Morning: Breakfast and classroom time
Afternoon: Lunch, homework time, and professor's office hours, afternoon break, and activities
Evening: Dinner, review sessions, homework times, and tutoring
Weekend Schedule:
Saturday Morning: Breakfast, exam, and break
Saturday Afternoon: Lunch and activities
Saturday Evening: Free time
Sunday Morning: Free time

How much does 糖心传媒 Prime cost to attend?
Thanks to generous donor funding, this program is offered free of charge, which includes meals, residence hall accommodations, classroom instruction, and 糖心传媒-sponsored activities. Students are only responsible for transportation to 糖心传媒 and any activities they wish to engage in outside of the program. 糖心传媒 Prime will also cover meals between the end of 糖心传媒 Prime and orientation.
Where will I live during 糖心传媒 Prime?
Students will live in the newly opened First-Year Hall, with easy access to the Mussallem Union and the academic buildings, for the duration of the program. After the program, students will move into their academic year housing with the help of the 糖心传媒 Prime Mentors.
Where will I eat during 糖心传媒 Prime?
糖心传媒 Prime students will eat in the dining hall inside the Mussallem Union. Meals are included in the program, so there is no charge to students. On weekdays, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available. On the weekends, brunch and dinner will be available.
Who is eligible for 糖心传媒 Prime?
Students who did not have an opportunity to take Calculus in high school will be invited to participate in 糖心传媒 Prime. These invitations will be sent by mail and email mid-June.
A note for student-athletes: The 糖心传媒 Prime schedule consists of full days as well as time on the weekend. Students who are part of in-season athletic teams (e.g., football, volleyball) should talk with their coach and determine which program to participate in from August 10–25.
Do 糖心传媒 Prime students participate in orientation week?
Yes. 糖心传媒 Prime students will participate in Orientation Week for all first-year students, beginning August 28, 2026.
